I now have second thoughts about modeling full time. Oh wait, kulang pala ako sa height!

Thanks Chicco for showing me this. :)

BONUS QUESTION:   If you are a bird, why?

If you answered B on all questions (except the last part, which I don't have the answer for), you're a true comicbook/videogame fan (almost)! Congratulations.

Let me say that I am a CAPCOM (a videogame company) fighting game fan for years. I remember that I started playing fighting games when I was in Grade 6 until now. I did cut several (okay, many) classes before just to play Street Fighter 3: Third Strike and screamed when I first got the MASTERSTREETFIGHTER (highest rank) playing Chun Li. That's how I love fighting games and hated school. ;)

One of my favorites has to be Marvel Vs Capcom, a fighting game where some characters of two companies (Marvel and CAPCOM) battle it out to save the universe or something, when it came out. I was a n00b and didn't exactly know how to play the game yet. A few years later, in 2000, Marvel Vs Capcom 2 came out with more characters and a 3 v 3 tag team gameplay. It was a wild but fun game.

Ten years later, the third game from the series finally came out. Marvel Vs Capcom 3 still has the same 3v3 tag team battle but with new, diverse characters, 3D graphics, crazier gameplay (you can tag while doing air combos, etc.) and a BIG boss, Galactus, who will eat Earth. So in short, it's up to your three selected characters to save the planet. Bongga!

I immediately loaded the game in one of the XBOX 360s sa shop. Here's the title screen. Press any button daw. Can I press Ryu's and Wolverine's buttons? :P

The character select screen. You get to pick three characters and how they can do their "assist" attacks.
Lemme introduce you to them.
Capcom side: Nemesis, Firebrand, Strider Hiryu, Phoenix Wright, Chris Redfield, Arthur, Frank West, Vergil, Wesker, Zero, Ryu, Dante, Morrigan, Tron, Chun Li, Trish, Felicia, Spencer, Akuma, Viewtiful Joe, Hsien ko, Haggar, C. Viper, Amaterasu
Marvel side: Nova, Ghost Rider, Hawkeye, Doctor Strange, Iron Fist, Rocket Raccoon, Captain America, Dormammu, Deadpool, Wolverine, Iron Man, Dr. Doom, X-23, Storm, Thor, M.O.D.O.K., SpiderMan, Sentinel, Hulk, Super Skrull, Phoenix, Magneto, She Hulk, Taskmaster
The two UNKNOWNS at the top are Jill Valentine for Capcom and Shuma Gorath for Marvel.

Here's how the gameplay works. I'd love to show you how I play but I was playing alone. Got a video from Youtube na lang. It looks magulo pero you'll get the hang of the game in a couple of fights. Trust me, masaya s'ya.

You can also play as the boss Galactus. I did. Kawawa naman ang AI. I finished them easily. Heehee.
Kinda weird because I was Player 1 but Galactus is positioned at the right side of the screen.

My team for this game is Morrigan, Akuma and Frank West. Who's your team?
Overall, I give this game a 4.5/5. There are a few overpowered characters (like Vergil) but ultimately, it's the characters you choose and how you use them. I am enjoying this game and if you get the chance to play it, go! Then call me for a challenge. Have fun!

CHEAP THRILLS

As last Sunday was, technically, my only rest day for the week, I had to take the chance to go with Kiko to the so-called fashion capital of the Philippines: Divisoria.

I'd half-agree. There are a lot of fashions there, good, bad and the ugly (poorly printed Angry Bird shirts, anyone?), pero OA naman kung yun ang fashion capital. Anyway, I wanted to go there too since I needed to look for wholesale plain shirts because of a planned give-away to my loyal customers at my shop Gamer's Cube.

I saw a lot really. And at a wholesale price of P295/six pieces, why not? Quality seems okay. Babalikan kita...

We then walked a little bit further and went to 168 Mall (I had one condition: dapat sa aircon mamili). Was quite surprised to see that it was a bigger mall than the last time I saw it. And it's quite cold inside so it was good. So we went on and I asked Kiko on what he'll buy (he said "Kahit anong maganda"). So we readied ourselves sa tawaran portion.

Moon Princess Power... MAKE UP! Pero scary naman bumili ng make-up dito, really..

They also sell watches. Fake, of course.

Meron ding flowers! Pang-regalo sa ka-date or pang-dagdag sa National Costume mo...

And of course, the clothes. Seriously, there are a LOT pero there are really good finds here (me and my friends call them 'treasures') so just be patient in looking for the good clothes.

I'm not ashamed to say I got a good shirt with this price. Take note, hindi s'ya mukhang P 150. Winner.

Basketball jerseys enough to dress a league.

And footwear that costs a tenth of what the originals cost.

I kinda like this.. (P500 lang!)

It also helped na there were not too many people so shopping was a bit easy. Kiko managed to buy a lot of things and he thought since mukha na akong bouncer/bodyguard ngayon, I carried all the things he bought!

Some people will never go to Divisoria (read: maarte and rich people. Boy, they're missing a lot. The thought of going there scares me a tiny bit. But there's really something about Divisoria that makes me still want to go there: it's the thrill you get when you see something/ things you like, haggle until you die, walk out amongst the busy, noisy and sometimes dirty and dangerous crowd and go home with your hard-earned "pinamili".

After an uneventful night involving red-ringed XBOX 360s and a few technical difficulties at my shop (long story, but everything's okay na), Monday afternoon came and we decided to meet for an early dinner at Robinson's Place Manila.

Pasko na nga talaga... The Christmas decoration made me smile.

Kiko dropped by CD-R King (one of my sources of WTF things), and sure enough, napa-WTF na naman ako: CD-R King sells RICE COOKERS! Award!

After giggling like schoolgirls at the sight of CD-R King Rice Cookers, we left na and ate at Shakeys. Their Deal Number 1 (a large Manager's Choice thin crust, chicken, mojos and a pitcher of iced tea) cost us Php 600 and it's good for 3 people. Who are they kidding? Kaya namin ubusing dalawa yan.

Burp! This is what I like about Manila. Look everywhere and there's something good to see, eat and buy. And one does not need to spend that much.

Be safe everyone!

WHEN STRESS GETS YOU DOWN...

...MAGPA-MASSAGE!

Me and my friends decided to meet last night to go to a bar, an idea that I liked because haggard ang week na 'to sa office for me, and I needed a little booze. That was initially the plan, and to meet me at Ayala Triangle Gardens after my shift (yeah, I work on weekends too).

They came from Greenbelt and had dinner at Mr. Jones and Nathan bought Neil Barrett shoes at Adora. At P13,000, medyo ang mahal.

Wala ba munang "adventures" si Dora the Explorer dahil mahal ang shoes?

I met them at around 9:45pm at Paseo in Makati and the group decided to go to Wensha instead, an idea I liked more because my new, fat body needed a rubdown. So five noisy people drove from Makati to Timog Avenue in Quezon City.

We're here! Wensha Spa is a 24 hour spa that has branches in Pasay and QC. They offer the usual spa services like body and foot massages and scrubs, plus haircuts, nail arts and facials.

Me, Nathan, JP, Toni and Mark/Karen

Here's the lounge and cashier where you pay for what service/s you want. We get the Wensha Body Massage (P680, one of the cheapest services) everytime. It includes a 6-hour stay, unlimited food and drinks and use of the steam and sauna rooms, showers, jacuzzi and lockers. You also leave your footwear here because may slippers sila for you.

Ayan, bawal daw mag-picture. Magagalit si Buddha.

Sorry if the pictures are a bit bad. Bawal talaga kasi mag-take ng photos. But I managed to get a few.

This is the staircase that brings you to the second floor, which has the Ladies' Locker and Wet Area (yung para sa guys is on the first floor) and the buffet area.

There's the area where you get your strawberry and pineapple juices and water. And the occasional ice cream. And JP managed to ruin the shot, thank you very much.

The ingredients you need for your shabu shabu.

The dining area.

Nathan gets sleepy waiting for the shabu shabu to be ready. The plate in the foreground is my own meal (lechon paksiw and togue).

I accidentally made it extra spicy. Pero that's what friends are for: kailangang ubusin dahil may left over fee!

Mark/Karen is busy. Didn't want to eat.

After the meal we went down to the wet area to get relaxed/ steamed and get showered before the massage. No pictures kasi baka ipapulis na nila ako pag nahuli ako. But the men's wet area has a hot and cold pool/jacuzzi, a dry sauna, a steam room, a few showers and a bunch of men just wearing white towels.

We then had a Swedish massage which took an hour. You will be asked kung male or female therapist ang gusto mo, and the type of oil to be used (mineral is the odorless one, ginger is the menthol-y kind). Don't go asking for cooking oil kasi wala sila non. Kaloka. :D

We enjoyed the massage except for Nathan, who was visibly agitated because there were two noisy probinsyanos in the same room that they were in. In his words: "Ay nako, muntik ko na silang sabihan ng 'Shut the f#ck up!". Galit lola mo. Then stayed a little bit sa wet area before showering and dressing up to go home.

We left Wensha refreshed and relaxed and happy (not for Nathan) and decided that we need a little nosh before going home so we decided to drop by a ChicBoy branch.

I honestly don't know the street where this is located but this is the largest ChicBoy branch I've ever seen. Karen/Mark didn't join us as he had to go home na (code for hinahanap na ng boyfriend).

They serve "Japanese" food and cocktails!

Pero as the store was closing na, the service was not that good. The food was average nga eh (do NOT order their chicken skin pulutan, ang konti). The best ChicBoy branch is still the one in Shaw Boulevard in Mandaluyong.

Bad food and bad service aside, it was a fun night. Went home with relaxed muscles and fatter bodies.
